Who is responsible

Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without identifying anyone — it runs always, because there is nothing to consent to. Basis: our legitimate interest in knowing how many people read the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Google Analytics 4 starts only after you click "yes" in the bar at the bottom. It sets cookies and sends Google Ireland Ltd. information about the pages you visit, your device and approximate location. Basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

Ad measurement

The Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) also starts only after consent. It measures three events: a page view, a sign-up for the free chapter, and a purchase. That is how we know whether an ad on Facebook or Instagram works at all. Meta may use this data to tailor ads in its own services — their rules: Meta privacy policy.

Mailing list

When you sign up for the free chapter you give us your email address. You confirm by clicking the link in the first message (double opt-in). We send the chapter, then a short letter every two weeks about running a small stage — one problem, one tool, sometimes a note about the books. Every message has an unsubscribe link: one click and you are off the list. We see whether a message was opened and which links were clicked, so we know what is useful. The list lives in EmailOctopus Ltd., United Kingdom (a country covered by an EU adequacy decision). Basis: consent. We keep the address until you unsubscribe.

If you sign up through a form inside Facebook or Instagram, Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. passes us your email address. We add it to the same list and send you the chapter and the letters described above. In that case the form itself is your confirmation.

Survey and emails to improv schools, theatres and groups

If you answer our survey about running a stage, it runs on Google Forms (Google Ireland Ltd.). The questions are about how your group works: what you run, how many shows you put on, how you sell tickets. We also see, only if you give them, the name of your group and your email address. The email is used only for what you ticked: the summary of the survey and/or the letters. Results are shared only as a summary, without names. Basis: consent. If you asked only for the summary, we delete your address once it is sent.

To invite schools, theatres and groups to the survey, we write once to the contact address published on their own website, with at most one reminder. Basis: legitimate interest. If you reply that you'd rather not hear from us, we won't write again and keep only a note of that.

Purchases

The books are sold by Polar Software Inc. as the merchant of record. Polar takes the payment, issues the receipt, handles VAT and delivers the files. Your card details never reach us — we only see the buyer's email and what was bought, so we can help if access goes wrong. Polar's rules: Polar privacy policy.

Email contact

When you write to iwo@937.design we process what you send in order to reply. Basis: legitimate interest. We keep the correspondence for as long as the matter lasts, plus the limitation period for any claims.

Where the data goes

Google, Meta, Cloudflare and Polar are companies outside Poland, and some data may be processed in the United States. Each of them relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We do not sell or pass data to anyone else.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its processing, take it with you, object, and withdraw consent at any time (without affecting what happened before). An email is enough. If you believe we are getting something wrong, you can complain to the Polish data protection authority (UODO) or the authority in your own country.

Changes

When a tool is added or a rule changes, we update this text and the date at the top. Earlier versions are available on request.
